Anyone who knows me will know that I am especially, out of all fashion departments, a sucker for a good bag. Gradually as i've gotten a little older I've started to appreciate bags that are a little more on the expensive side, opting more often than not for real leather. I feel more so now than when I was younger that bags can alter looks in more ways than you may imagine. It could be what bag you use that decides whether your outfit gives an overall casual look or more of a polished, well put together formal look. To me, a bag, especially the bigger handbags are what a person sees first of your outfit. It sits right in the centre of your body (assuming its on your shoulder or the crease of your arm) and is ultimately a statement you're putting out there about your outfit. Oh and lets face it, some bags are just amazingly beautiful.

When buying a bag to me, I think about it's range. Will it go with a lot of the clothes I already have? Does it look like something I would use over and over, aka am I so in love with it, its all I can think about until I become it's sweet sweet owner? What is it practical for?- i.e. does my wardrobe lack a good everyday bag, big enough to fit everything in I need for a regular day, or am I missing more of an evening bag, slighter smaller maybe. Finally, what is the quality. Good quality bags tend to stand out for miles amongst others. By good quality I'm talking about the stitching, the straps- after multiple uses are these straps going to withstand the test of time, and ultimately, if that leather gets worn, will it still look okay?

This is not to say I don't buy cheap bags, that I do, and probably too much of them. Good quality bags can still be found in high street stores for around £40 and last a life time, it's just asking all the same questions.
